Don't Forget Where You Came From

In 2009, my father and I set out to change family owned businesses, one client at a time. Our mission was to “help clients set sail” through simple, practical, and time-tested business processes and tools. Our first client, ironically, was a company that sold sailboat parts to customers. Now, almost a decade later, I’m excited to continue helping small businesses and entrepreneurs, but I haven’t forgotten where it started for us - family businesses.

There is something special about a family that comes together to run a successful business. Speaking from experience, there is no better place for a young and ambitious family member to learn what it takes to make it. The reality of running a family business, is that it is often much more difficult than most entrepreneurs expect (you can’t pick your family after all). I’ve included a picture of my partner and co-founder (JP), who will always be my reminder of where I came from.
